SLEEPING PODS
Generously sized hexagonal sleeping tents provide 7.5 square metres of space to relax and watch the stars under a clear high ceiling that stands at 3.5 metres in the middle.
After relaxing on comfortable raised stretches with thick sleeping mats in the safari style tent, take a seat on the elevated entrance deck and enjoy the peace and quiet of Flinders Island coastal wilderness - followed up by a 50m stroll through your private beach access to swim in the crystal waters of Flinders beach.
MEAL INCLUSIONS
Similarly to most of our trips, all meals are included for the duration of the trek, and we aim to provide delicious, interesting and nutritional meals for all guests. Food is mainly sourced from local providers and carefully selected, stored and transported so as to maximise freshness and quality.
Provided we are advised in advance of your departure we are able to cater for vegetarian diets and can assist with medically recommended diets (allergies and intolerances). Please note that options are likely to be limited in very remote locations or alternatives may be more expensive or unavailable.
SHOWER TENTS
The hot showers give trekkers a welcome way to wash away the sweat of a good days walk across the Island. Hot water is heated using a “Donkey” hot water boiler - an efficient hot water system and an economical way to warm water.
Trekkers have a 9 Litre bucket of warm water to use in our shower tents, which allows for warm-hot showers that run for 2 – 2 1/2 minutes.
