Victoria’s Grampians National Park (Gariwerd) is a place of remarkable natural and cultural significance—a rugged wilderness of dramatic landforms, 20,000-year-old Indigenous rock art and outstanding opportunities for hiking, abseiling and rock climbing.

Rising abruptly from flat dryland plains below, the sweeping sandstone peaks and ridges of the Grampians continue to attract visitors with the promise of a true wilderness adventure in one of Victoria’s most precious environments.

It’s here on the edge of the Grampians National Park that you’ll find Inanna, the 60-hectare sustainable property shared by one of the world’s greatest living adventurers, Jon Muir OAM, and his wife Suzy Muir.

Recipient of both the Australian Geographic Society’s highest accolade—the Lifetime of Adventure award—and the Order of Australia for his contribution to mountaineering, Jon Muir has amassed an overwhelming list of achievements in his 40-year career as a mountaineer, adventurer, wilderness guide and speaker.

Jon’s wife Suzy Muir is an accomplished sustainable homesteader who has designed permaculture systems, established edible school gardens and built a small sustainable home from scratch with her own capable hands—as well as accompanying Jon on some of his expeditions.

Join the Muirs for a unique farm stay experience at Inanna, where you’ll gain hands-on knowledge about sustainable food, energy and waste systems, share seasonal organic produce grown on the property, enjoy tales of Jon & Suzy’s adventures around the world and join them on walks out into the Grampians to appreciate the remarkable landscapes, flora and cultural heritage of this very special region.
