With over 40 years experience operating a diverse range of itineraries around mainland Australia and Tasmania, we have a huge amount of expertise and experience creating unique tailored itineraries for small group travel. You can rest assured knowing that your trip complies with the highest responsible travel policies, safety standards and will include some of Australia's most experienced guides. We aim to ensure our itineraries are completely inclusive, giving you peace of mind that quality accommodation, meals and gear have already been take care of.
While our standard tours have set travel dates and departures which allow you to book and join with other travellers, our private group trips give you the ability to either lock out a departure date exclusively for you group, or create a completely new departure date. Additionally, private groups allow for more flexibility- simply chat to our groups team about what additional activities special requests and additions you’d like to make to the itinerary, and we’ll make it happen! Once a private group is created, it is reserved exclusively for your friends, family or colleagues to join.

The minimum age for private groups depends on the trip. Typically, our active adventures have a minimum age of 8 years old, however some trips that are grade 4 and above require a minimum age of 16 years or more. However, depending on location you’d like to visit, activities involved or experience required for trips, this can be flexible. We recommend chatting to our groups team about your ideal experience for more information.
Our private group itineraries include all ground costs, accommodation, meals, permits and transfers, unless otherwise stated by our groups team. We aim to be as inclusive as possible during your trip, so you can focus on the experience (and not your wallet!) throughout your trip. Please note that our private trips do not include flights to and from the start/finish destination, visas or travel insurance.
If you would like to include a free of charge (FOC) spot on your quote, please let our groups team know when discussing your trip requirements. The FOC spot cost will be averaged out between the paying customers.
Simply contact us and let us know where you wish to go, what activities you would like to include, how many are in your group and an estimated date of departure. Our group consultant will give you suggestions to help create your perfect unforgettable adventure. Once you’re happy with the itinerary and inclusions, you’ll be sent detailed trip notes that outline the daily itinerary, trip highlights, prices, inclusions and exclusions, ensuring each member of your group have a clear idea of the holiday ahead.
Depending on the complexity of your trip, a quote for an ‘off the rack’ itinerary or departure for a private group can take up to 5 days to process. Custom itineraries that are more unique or complex can take between 5-10 days to process.
