What exactly do I win?

The winner will receive one (1) spot on their choice of one of our brand new guided Queensland island walks in 2026. You can choose from:

  • The Ngaro Track (in comfort)
  • The Ngaro Track (full-pack, more challenging)
  • The Thorsborne Track (in comfort)

The trip includes guiding, accommodation, meals and park permits. Travel to and from the start and end point is not included.

Can I take the trip whenever I want?
  • The trip must be taken in 2026 on a confirmed departure
  • Subject to availability when booking
  • Not transferable, redeemable for cash, or extendable beyond 2026
  • No credit or refund will be provided for any unused portion
When will the winner be announced?
  • The winner will be drawn on 13 March 2026
  • They’ll be contacted by email
  • If the winner doesn’t respond within five business days, a new winner may be drawn

Queensland Island Hiking Adventure Competition – Terms and Conditions of Entry

1. Promoter

The promoter is Australian Walking Holidays, part of the World Expeditions Travel Group.

2. Promotion Period

The promotion opens on 12 January 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEDT on 12 March 2026. Entries received after this time will not be eligible.

3. Eligibility
  • Open to individuals aged 18 years or over.
  • Open to residents of Australia and New Zealand only.
  • Employees of Australian Walking Holidays, the World Expeditions Travel Group and their immediate families are not eligible.
  • One entry per person only.
4. How to Enter
  • Complete the online entry form during the Promotion Period.
  • Agree to these Terms & Conditions.
  • Agree to receive Australian Walking Holidays marketing communications and remain subscribed at the time the winner is drawn.

No purchase is required to enter.

5. Prize

One (1) winner will receive one (1) place on their choice of a newly released guided Queensland island walk operated by Australian Walking Holidays in 2026. The winner may choose from:

  • Guided Ngaro Track walk (in comfort)
  • Guided Ngaro Track full-pack trek (more challenging)
  • Guided Thorsborne Track walk (in comfort)

The prize includes guided services, accommodation as per the itinerary, meals and National Park permits. Travel to and from the trip start and finish points is not included. The prize is for one person only and is not transferable or redeemable for cash.

6. Prize Validity & Use
  • The prize must be taken on a confirmed departure in 2026.
  • Subject to availability at the time of booking.
  • Any additional costs outside the inclusions are the responsibility of the winner.
  • No credit or refund will be provided for unused portions.
7. Draw Details
  • The winner will be drawn at random on 13 March 2026.
  • The draw will take place at Australian Walking Holidays.
  • The promoter’s decision is final.
8. Winner Notification
  • The winner will be notified by email.
  • If the winner does not respond within five (5) business days, the prize may be redrawn.
9. Privacy
