Brimming with aquatic life, the area is a fantastic destination to go beach combing and swimming, where you can spot sponges, weedy sea dragons, rock lobsters, abalone and more. This conservation area also has a number of birds, including yellow-tailed black cockatoos, wattlebirds and honeyeaters, while seabirds seen in the area include magnificent white-breasted sea eagles, Pacific gulls, gannets, petrels and albatross.

So if your idea of the ultimate beach getaway is to visit beaches that are so remote, few have stepped foot on the before you, perhaps you need to venture to the beaches along the South Coast of Tasmania, along the South Coast Track. These remote and sandy beaches, including Little Deadman’s Beach, Osmiridium Beach and Granite Beach, will make you feel as though you are on a small secluded island in the middle of nowhere.
