Each of these camps is named for someone who helped shape this experience. From trail pioneers, architectural legends to pioneers of Australian adventure, these camps tell the deeper story of how this Australian walk came to be iconic.

• Nick Murcutt, architect and visionary who designed the Eco-Comfort Camps to sit lightly on Country
• Fearless, named in honour of Sue Fear - the first Australian-born woman to summit Everest
• Sonder, the last camp, inspired by the local Arrente people and the summit it sits beneath
